Islamic studies is an optional subject prescribed for B.A. in the colleges affiliated to North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon Objectives of Syllabus: * To study the life and personality of Prophet (peace and blessing be upon him) as an ideal reformer. He freed the humanity from ignorance & slaveery and guided the mankind to the literacy and social justice. * To study the teachings of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) specially for communal harmony, tolerance and co-existence. * The religion is the core of moral education and bridge to humanity. The subject Islamic studies is designed in such a manner that students should develop their moral, spritual and behavioural attitude and character. * To study brief review of Quran, Hadith and Fiquha and to understand the Islamic way of life. * To study Islamic history, specially the role of Islam in india.
