Bicycle/Pedestrian Path Central to US54 committing the City of Andover share of funding in the estimated amount of $383,789 SUMMARY: Due to the construction activities around the Andover High School Campus funding approved for WAMPO project to construct a 10' bicycle/pedestrian path on Andover Rd. from 21st St. to the KTA Bridge was requested to be shifted to the Andover Rd. Bicycle/Pedestrian Path Central to US54. WAMPO ultimately approved the request, which moved the Central to US54 project into FFY2020 and pushed the 21st to KTA out to 2022. In order to get the project started in the KDOT system the Form 1302 requests the project and commits the City to the 80/20 share of construction and construction engineering costs. FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS: The City commitment to the project totals $383,789 for 20% of the construction and construction engineering, right of way acquisition, and preliminary engineering. The City share of the project costs will be funded by the Street Improvement Sales Tax. LEGAL IMPLICATIONS: Once the project is entered in the KDOT system a project agreement will be drafted by KDOT legal staff for approval by both entities establishing the commitments of KDOT and the City.
