Weighted average toll revenue for the June quarter increased by 1.0% on the prior corresponding period (pcp) with revised toll schedules implemented over the last 12 months offsetting the weaker economic conditions in Europe. Weighted average traffic for the period was 1.7% lower than pcp, largely reflecting weak traffic performance across MQA s European toll road assets. Weighted average toll revenue for the six months to 30 June grew 0.9% on levels while traffic over the same period was 1.9% below pcp. The table below provides a summary of the revenue and traffic performance against pcp. Macquarie Atlas Roads = O= 1 AUTOROUTES PARIS-RHIN-RHÔNE (APRR) At the completion of the anticipated acquisition of the remaining minority interests by Eiffarie SAS, MQA will own an estimated 19.4% ownership interest in APRR, in France. Light vehicle traffic was 2.0% below pcp despite the additional two public holidays during the period. Traffic numbers were adversely impacted by a number of external factors including record-high fuel prices, poor weather, the French elections and the weak economic conditions. Heavy goods vehicle traffic was down 5.2%, impacted by weakening industrial production levels and the fewer workdays during the quarter. Toll revenues were down slightly with a total of 487.4m collected during the quarter, a decrease of 0.5% on pcp. Macquarie Atlas Roads = P= 2 DULLES GREENWAY, VIRGINIA MQA owns an estimated 50% economic interest in TRIP II LP, the owner of the concession for the Dulles Greenway in Virginia, United States. The traffic performance reflects continued limited toll elasticity and the extra workday compared to the same period in. Average daily traffic on the adjoining Dulles Toll Road was 2.4% lower than second quarter levels. Tolls on the Greenway increased on 1 January by an average of approximately 8%, in accordance with the toll structure approved by the Virginia State Corporation Commission. Peak period, peak direction tolls for cars increased from US$4.50 to US$4.80, and tolls for cars travelling in the non-peak direction and during off-peak periods increased from US$3.70 to US$4.00. During the quarter, Indiana Toll Road s system-wide average daily traffic (FLET) was 2.6% above pcp. Average daily ticket system traffic was 2.2% above pcp with light vehicle and heavy vehicle traffic both being 2.2% above pcp levels respectively. Average daily barrier traffic was up 3.8% on the June quarter with light vehicle traffic increasing 2.2% and heavy vehicle traffic increasing 18.7% compared to pcp. ITR traffic has benefited from the completion of construction on the barrier system in late 4Q.
