137 Government of Madhya Pradesh Finance Department AMENDMENT TO MADHYA PRADESH FINANCIAL CODE VOL-II Print-1987 Page-81 Rule 263-A : Substitute the folloiwng for the existing rule : Rule 263 A An advance may be granted to a Government servant for the purchase of personel computer in the interest of the public service, subject to the following conditions : (i) Government servants drawing basic pay of Rs. 3500/- per month or above shall be eligible for the advance. (ii) Advance shall not exceed Rs. 50,000/- or the anticipated price (including peripherals and customs duty) whichever is less. (iii) Government servants who have availed themselves of advances for purchases of a motor cars during the last four year shall not be eligible for this advance unless full repayment of the motor car advance together with the interest has been made. (iv) A Government servant under suspension is not entitled and if the advance has already been sanctioned, it should not be disbursed. (v) Recovery of the advacne shall be made in not more than 150 equal monthly equal monthly instalments commencing from the first issue of pay. (vi) The personal computer shall be hypothecated to the Governor of Madhya Pradesh as security. (vii) The advance will bear the same rate of interest as for motor car and will be recovered in the same manner. (viii) In case purchase is not made within one month from the date of drawal of advance, the whole amount along with the interest shall have to be refunded in lumpsum forthwith. F. D. memo.
