Tal: Palghar, Dist: Thane. 1.2 Estimated cost of work put to tender Rs. 2,20,31,268/- 1.3 Definitions and Interpretations: In this documents the followings terms shall have the meanings hereby assigned to them except where the context otherwise requires. a) "Government shall mean the "Government of Maharashtra". b) "Department" shall mean Water Resources Department of Government of Maharashtra. c) "Chief Engineer" shall mean Chief Engineer, Water Resources Department, Konkon Region, Mumbai. d) "Engineer/ Engineer in charge" shall mean the Executive Engineer in charge of the work and shall also include the Superior officers of the department of the Government i.e. the Superintending Engineer of respective Circle or the Chief Engineer. e) "Engineer's representative" shall mean the Sub Divisional Engineer Sub Divisional Officer/Assistant Engineer (Grade-1) / Assistant Executive Engineer, who is in direct charge of the works and shall include and Civil Engineer of the Government. f) "Contractor" shall mean the person, firm or company who enters into contract, with the Government and shall include their executor's, administrators, successors and submitted assignees.
g) "Contract" shall mean and include agreement having Part - I Tender Documents Part - II Specifications Part - III Drawings. h) "Work" shall mean the work to be executed in accordance with contract. i) "Specifications" shall mean the specifications for material works as specified in the contract. j) "Drawing" shall mean prints of the maps, drawings plans in Volume-II of the contract and shall include any modifications of such drawing and any further drawings as may be issued by the Engineer-in-Charge from time to time. k) "Site" shall mean the land and the other places on, under, minor through which the works are carried out and any other lands or places provided by the department i) "Defect(s) liability period" shall mean period of 6 months from the date of issue of completion certificate by the Engineer-in-charge. SINGULAR AND PLURAL: Works imparting the singular number shall also include the plural and vice versa where the context requires. HEADINGS AND MARGINAL HEADINGS: The headings and the marginal headings in the contract are solely for the purpose of facilitating references and shall not be deemed to be part there of or taken into consideration in the interpretation or construction thereof or the contract. 2.0 ELIGIBILITY Blank Tender papers will be downloaded and uploaded only to those contractors who are qualified in following eligibility criteria and should submit qualification letter received from competent authority.
2.1 BID CAPACITY The applicant bidder should have bid capacity greater than the estimated cost to tender i.e. 220 lakhs. The bid capacity will be computed as detailed below: Bid Capacity = (A x N x 2) B A = B = N = Maximum value of civil engineering work executed in any one year during the last 5 years (value updated to the D.S.R. i.e. 2010-11. This will take into account completed and ongoing works. Financial years concerned are 2006-07, 2007-08, 2008-09, 2009-10 and 2010-11. Value of existing commitments and works (on going) as on 31/09/2011 to be completed in the period stipulated for completion of the work in the present tender. Number of years prescribed for completion of the work for which the bids are invited = (12 calendar months) = 1 years. Information about A and B mentioned above is required to be submitted in the Performa given below. III General Experience As a prime Contractor he should have executed following minimum quantities of work in working season during last five years at one project site. i) Drilling: Providing 3000 Rmt Diamond drilling holes in Masonary/Rock etc. ii) iii) IV Grouting: Providing 1200 Mt. Grouting of cement admixture in drilled holes. Cement Concrete: Providing and laying 3000 Cum cement concrete. Even though bidders satisfy the above requirements, they are likely to be disqualified if they have.
i) Made untrue and / or false representation in the form statement and attachment required as a proof of qualification requirement. ii) Records of proof performance such as abandoning work, not properly completion of contract, in ordinate delays in completion or financial failures etc. The tender will be deemed to be eligible to purchase the blank tender form only if he satisfies all the above criteria (Sr. No. 1 to 5) by submitting requisite document proof at least 3 (three) days prior to the last date of blank tender forms (excluding last day).
